Importance

The Glorious Revolution started from the year 1688 and ended in 1689. There are many causes that led up to this revolution but the most important one is the fear  of having a catholic tyarant.

The Revolution started with a horrifying idea of a catholic tyranny in England. William of Orange thought of propery, meaning that he did not just have fear or anger towards the Catholic church but also thought that the Catholics are planning to overthrow the church. The present king at the time being James II who was catholic. Since a vast quantity of England was protestant, this was a huge move to make everyone turn against the king, and start a revolution.

In the late 1670s, the idea of propery started since King Charles who was the king at the time had no children and asked his brother to take the throne. His brother though had changed to Catholicism which was a big deal since nearly everyone in England  was Protestant.

Overall, the main cause for the revolution was the religious differences between both parties. The king being Catholic, and the Protestant people revolting against him due their ideas on propery.
